Airlift
Northwest Fleet
Airlift Northwest provides air medical
services to one of the largest and most geographically varied
areas in the world. We can transport patients from isolated
Alaska islands to coastal villages in Western Washington
to the high desert communities in Eastern Washington. Our
aviation partners – Air Methods Corporation and Executive
Flight, Inc. provide the aviation services and pilots and
mechanics with the aviation expertise to keep us all safe.
In Washington:
- Four Agusta high-performance helicopters are based in
Bellingham, Arlington, Seattle and Olympia. These twin-engine
helicopters fly at 160 MPH, have a range of 150 miles,
and are certified
for instrument flight (IFR) in poor weather.
- One fixed wing Learjet 35A with a cruising speed of 500
MPH and a range of 1500 miles is based in Seattle.
In Alaska:
- A fixed-wing Learjet 35A, with a cruising speed of 500
MPH and a range of 1500 miles is based in Juneau..
In addition, Airlift Northwest can land
at some smaller communities in Southeast Alaska, including
Haines, Kake, Klawock, Yakutut and Gustavus (weather
and daylight permitting).
Canada:
Airlift Northwest teams can land in some
smaller Canadian coastal cities (weather and daylight permitting),
including Port Hardy and Prince Rupert. Of course all landings
require approval from Canadian customs.
